Packing Suggestions
The Moroccan climate can be as varied as its cultural history. One could find snow, rain, wind or Sahara heat, depending upon the locality. The following is a general list and should be used only as a guide or starting point. Typically, Moroccans keep covered by American standards, but not nearly as much as more fundamentalist countries. You will be better received if you try to respect this. Long skirts and pants or jeans work better than shorts or miniskirts. However, in the larger cities feel free to wear what you are most comfortable in. Whatever you choose, don't come without:
- Lightweight pants or slacks
- Jeans
- T-shirts
- Socks
- Good pair of tennis shoes or hiking boots
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Towel
- Personal toiletries
- Light jacket
